Simply Swim
We are forced to swim, to fly
strokes that do not reach
never any bank: the requirement
splash inane, disenchantment
of fighting in a circle of foam and waves
crisp, and salt in the breath, thirst
never resolved in the papilla,
burning of the tongue caked.
